My philosophy on birth

Honouring the sacred journey of birth
Bringing new life into the world is an immense and important responsibility, one that deserves to be honoured as a sacred transition. I am guided by the ancient wisdom of women being with women, in community, since time immemorial, recognizing the innate power and intuition of mothers.
Birth is a natural life event that requires proper integration into the mother and family's life for the most supported and nurtured journey into parenthood. The postpartum window is equally vital; I advocate for a return to woman-to-woman support and community care that genuinely enables the mother bond with her baby, foster attachment, and heal in her own time.
My approach is deeply rooted in personal experience and a holistic understanding of the birthing journey. Having experienced three easeful and positive natural births myself, I understand the profound impact of an intentional environment and chosen support system.

A unique approach
Grounded in my Christian faith, my approach honours the sanctity of life and the birthing process. This spiritual foundation is harmoniously supported by my academic pursuits in Physiotherapy. This holistic perspective allows me to offer comprehensive support that respects both the spiritual and physical aspects of birth, creating a nurturing space where mothers feel empowered, informed, and truly cared for.
Furthermore, my ongoing studies in physiotherapy provide me with a distinct advantage, allowing me to integrate anatomical and biomechanical knowledge. This expertise supports women with pelvic floor health and optimal labour positions, ensuring a well-rounded and informed approach to care.
